Our Beliefs

Central to the Church of Scotland is our love and worship of God through following the teachings and examples of Jesus Christ. We express our love for God by our love and practical care for each other and for those we live with and encounter in our daily lives.

Our services at Saltcoats North Parish follow a traditional Church of Scotland pattern of worship with a fresh modern feel, with our minister leading the service through a welcome to worship, readings drawn from the Bible, a sermon, and the congregation joining him in prayers and hymns.

We are a friendly and welcoming church and visitors - even if just curious or passing through - are always made to feel very welcome to join us in worship and for the traditional cup of tea and a biscuit afterwards!

We believe that worship within the Church of Scotland is for everybody, regardless of age, nationality, status or ability.

Music is an essential part of the Church's worship and our proficient choir lead us in song every week.

Regular services of worship are at the heart of the life of the Church, but we feel that we are also a family as part of and within our community and congregational life also includes a Manse group, prayer group, Sunday school for children, youth groups, the Guild, and a full calendar of social activities.
